About the Project
The City of Corpus Christi worked with the Freese and Nichols planning team to create a new Westside Area Development Plan. This plan will give guidance for future development in the area and identify opportunities to improve existing facilities. The Plan will include conceptual drawings and strategies to bring the ideas in the Plan to reality.

The planning team used the community’s input to create the plan. Two community meetings/open houses, two surveys, five advisory committee meetings, and four focus group meetings were held over the last two years to gather input. Review the "Project Documents" section to the right for more information.

What neighborhoods does this study area include?
The "Westside Plan" includes neighborhoods such as Westside, Molina, Cliff Maus, La Cuarenta, New Addition, Saxet Heights, Westgate Heights, Highland Estates, Oak Park, Westchester Place, Ebony Acres, Mobile Estates, Dona Park, Academy Heights, Las Colonias, Los Encinos, and others (see the study area map).

One major transportation issue is the interchange between I-37 to NPID. It is 1-lane at 40 MPH and backs up and causes many accidents. Consider a large park/recreational area in the NPID area in the fields which would also bring family housing.

I think the homeless on Agnes needs to be cleaned out and maybe find them at Pacific Park with the Gated area and have the city workers clean weekly

Where to start, need more characters. When you add to the south you should be adding to the west as well. Too much to address.

The city would look so much better if the tall grass, debris, and litter could be cleaned up. I would suggest volunteers sign up to beautify our city

Tear down abandon structures. Enforce no yard/curb parking. Clear Yards w/ lots of debris. Vehicle repair businesses have too much junk on site.
