The permanent open spaces, residential home increase, and the development of stores and programs within the area. I like the shops to be added.
Do analysis to identify exactly what the problem(s) are in the area in question. I imagine fatherless homes, high teen pregnancy rate, quality of life issues, high dropout rate lead the way. Then set short term goals and make measurable progress.
I was about to try to figure out who was in charge of this area as I have been attending the soccer games on Sundays. Alot of families enjoy being out there as spectators and the fields are very uneven and dry.
To revitalize that part of town. That side of town is known for being old and dirty. It needs to be revamped and modernized. New parks, new restaurants, and new amenities.
The homeless problem needs to be resolved in order for the area to develop. Keep up with Salinas Park. The park is in need of major repairs.
The road In front of the state school needs to be completely repaired. You all built a beautiful park and the roads are aweful. This road is also by Del Mar College.
More strict code enforcement in the area, allow new corporate businesses in the area. Allowing these businesses will boost the traffic for the small family owned businesses. City owned camera systems for assisted housing which is grant funded.
Baseball fields need to be renovated. They all need upgrades. Would be nice to have the kids to have better fields to play on.
We need to bring more businesses to the Westside. We have a lot of land that can be developed for businesses. We have also slowly lost schools such as Cunningham Middle School and Garcia Elementary.
Better drainage and street repair.
It would be nice if they clean the area of drug related activity then put some housing for middle class families. It would be nice to have housing for families who make to much for low income and not enough for $1800 monthly rent.
a safe environment with plenty of shade structures and activities for the citizens of all ages.
Positive changes to the area without negatively impacting the affordability or causing displacement.
Need to revitalize Woodlawn Plaza with new businesses by providing tax incentives to business and mall owner.
This will revitalize Leopard all the way to Hwy 37. Reach out to big chain retail with the offer/incentives and no more dollar stores.
It would be nice to find something we can do with the homeless, the drug addicts give them an area that they can be at and away from the public area I definitely think all the parks in the west side should have a cover over there for the hot summers
City Parks, one of the simplest areas to develop that can have a big impact on community. It's not just about replacing equipment. Needs to be well thought out, wide range of activities. Garcia Park has huge potential to bring the community together
Agnes St and Port Ave need clearing out old abandoned buildings and junk cars yard. Neighborhoods area of Port area streets and sidewalks need to enforce to keep debris free. No littering on street.

Could easily do an outdoor drive in movie theater. Would be nice to have something that can be enioyed at night.
I think the city needs to really look into cleaning up all the hookers and homeless. There are so many empty houses down Ruth and port being used for drugs. Also the park on 22nd at weggins has hookers and John’s parking in the parking lot.
Thank you for your contribution!
