Tell us what's your priority for the future of the City's west side area? / Díganos, ¿cual es su prioridad para el futuro del área oeste de la ciudad?
Positive changes to the area without negatively impacting the affordability or causing displacement.
Need to revitalize Woodlawn Plaza with new businesses by providing tax incentives to business and mall owner.
This will revitalize Leopard all the way to Hwy 37. Reach out to big chain retail with the offer/incentives and no more dollar stores.
It would be nice to find something we can do with the homeless, the drug addicts give them an area that they can be at and away from the public area I definitely think all the parks in the west side should have a cover over there for the hot summers
City Parks, one of the simplest areas to develop that can have a big impact on community. It's not just about replacing equipment. Needs to be well thought out, wide range of activities. Garcia Park has huge potential to bring the community together
Agnes St and Port Ave need clearing out old abandoned buildings and junk cars yard. Neighborhoods area of Port area streets and sidewalks need to enforce to keep debris free. No littering on street.

Could easily do an outdoor drive in movie theater. Would be nice to have something that can be enioyed at night.
I think the city needs to really look into cleaning up all the hookers and homeless. There are so many empty houses down Ruth and port being used for drugs. Also the park on 22nd at weggins has hookers and John’s parking in the parking lot.
One major transportation issue is the interchange between I-37 to NPID. It is 1-lane at 40 MPH and backs up and causes many accidents. Consider a large park/recreational area in the NPID area in the fields which would also bring family housing.
More business like Cafes, Gyms, Chain restaurants.
Beautiful area
I think the homeless on Agnes needs to be cleaned out and maybe find them at Pacific Park with the Gated area and have the city workers clean weekly
Lots of green spaces, parks, safe outdoor walking, exercising, and playing spaces!
Where to start, need more characters. When you add to the south you should be adding to the west as well. Too much to address.
Upgrade track @ Salinas Park with good lighting, ensure code enforcement keeps up with eye sore homes, yards, cars, decrepit bldgs on Port and Ayers.
Library, park play equipment for Oak Park, grocery store for downtown, find housing for the homeless, enforce code violations, bus benches and covers
The billboards display more alcohol advertisements than educational. Access to mental health and job training. Build a library in the community.
We need ADA sidewalks in saxet heights homes and community. The community garden needs to be ADA. A lot of abandoned homes.
Our children's baseball/softball parks need renovation. They have been run down for years.
The city would look so much better if the tall grass, debris, and litter could be cleaned up. I would suggest volunteers sign up to beautify our city
